One o'clock and I am still up trying to blog for the New Year. An hour ago I was out of the house in the river dike to look at the fireworks. I think all of the neighborhood were awake to welcome the new year. Those who could afford it welcomed the New Year with fireworks. We chose to be spectators only to the awesome display.
I reflect that this is the only season of Christmas and New year when I did not bring the family to church for midnight masses. Neither did I attend the nine-day masses prior to Christmas. For one thing, the doctor told me to have "ten day full rest" which was impossible to follow. I had allergic rhinitis again which usually recurs in the cold months of November and December.
I did not bother to prepare an elaborate Christmas or New Year's dinner, as I was not up to it. We did with what we could buy from the groceries. Neither did I attend the Christmas get together at Mother In law's house. I was sick on the very day.
Tomorrow the family will be coming over to my house and so I will have to prepare. There are many other things to do as classes reopen on Monday but that can take care of myself.
boy, am I so sleepy now. I will publish my New Year prayer tomorrow. Good night everyone, let us all hope for better and more peaceful and prosperous time in 2011.
