A couple of days ago hubby handed me a bracelet that was supposed to do some magic to my health.
He said he wanted to to give it on our anniversary, but since I was feeling some kind of discomfort akin to pain, so he gave it to me ahead of date, after seeing our family doctor who assured me there was really nothing to worry about. I said thank you and then forgot about it.
Looking at it, I felt guilty once more, knowing I just took the gift for granted.
So I made up by whipping up a fast dinner in spite of my fast paced life these days. (uhhummm)). I have been an infrequent visitor to the kitchen, with my favorite stop at the dining table only. So since I felt like a stranger there, I made a detour to the lechon house,(this is an indispensable dish at most especial occasion, but mind you I did not buy a whole pig as there were only five of us,lol) to the fruit stalls, dropped near the nearest ice cream outlet and ordered more foods from the fast food in the neighborhood
.
I brought out my best china and silver and when everything was ready, the lights went out.
It is fiesta in the city and so while lights were all on there, they plunged the suburbs into darkness. And would you imagine I have only one candle holder in the whole house ? So candles were stuck on cups turned upside down and and on top of grocery cans. And we enjoyed our dinner in candle light.
Well, all's well that ends well. we had a cozy and intimate fiesta and anniversary dinner which the whole family enjoyed.I am sure hubby is happy as I did not give away my forgetfulness, even if he seemed to enjoy the baby more than the food.Sorry I did not aim the camera properly, this shot does not do justice to my daughter in law's beauty.
