While on the boat back from my stint in Cagayan, I wrote the following diaries to record my visit to a very beautiful place Cagayan de Oro City, where two of my brothers in-law and their respective families live. I could have chosen another place (Iloilo) but probably to the disappointment of my Head, I chose CDO for personal reasons. So on board Super Ferry which took back to Cebu on the morning of September 30, i wrote this diary:

"I am writing this using conventional pen and paper as my netbook wouldnt work in my bunk here at Superferry. My five day travel to the City of Golden Friendship is over. Tomorrow this big hulk of a boat will dock in Cebu City at 6:00 AM and I'ill take a two and a half hour ride to Ormoc City via Supercat at 11:00AM. That means I will be back to my home sweet home at 1;30 PM.
Coming to Cagayan last Sept 25, I was met at the airport by Bebot, my youngest brother in law. It was a Sunday and there was some road repair going on in the usual route to Older Brother's house where I was supposed to stay, so we took a longer road to avoid the traffic. But when we got to Paco's house, only two children were there, their Mom was on a speaking engagement while Paco was on another meeting.
Bebot decided to take me to his wifey's school where his children were participating in a field demonstration because that day the school was celebrating some kind of a founding anniversary.
My nephews were already preteeners. I did not know that the oldest one was already in high school. Both promise to be as handsome and husky as their dad. The last time I came to CDO which was on my oldest son's graduation, they were yet toddlers. Of course they came over to Ormoc during the reunion, but since I was busy with the baptism of two of my grandchildren, I really wasn't able to bond with them when they were here. Both Bebot and Pinky were busy with school/work related activities, but they had to accommodate me that day because my real hosts were also busy with other things.
Some pictures I took at their school depicted scenes from the joyful occasion. Pinky was with her kindergarten class. What struck me as something remarkable was the way the teachers were also required to present a group dance demonstration. Even the principal (or the director?)joined in. Too bad I could not take pictures properly as I could not position myself in the right or most strategic place.
And here are the boys, Bebot and Pinky's pride who were too camera shy they have to be shot at unaware, while busy doing a duet on the piano at Paco's house.
