Saying "hi!" in between Saturday classes Aug 3, '12 11:09 PM for everyone Saying "hi!" in between Saturday classes Aug 3, '12 11:09 PM for everyone

I posted something yesterday which I saved as draft but I can not find it anymore. Nevertheless, here I am again trying to blog, and let us see how successful I am this time. I was interrupted by second coursers yesterday, who wanted to see their cooperating teachers in the Night High School here. And in my haste, I forgot to save the blog properly.
Saturdays are no rest days for me. I woke up early to be able to give moral support to my son who was doing an emceeing job for the first time on a seminar workshop intended for practice teachers. it was an old colleague, and the resource speaker for the seminar who put him in the program. And this son of mine who is basically very shy, needed his old mother to give him the necessary moral support. As a student he never had such experiences, as he preferred to be a nondescript character in the class. But today,  I noticed he simply breezed through the job, he has a good command of the English language and he never showed any stage fright. Later in the workshop, I heard my friend comment  to him "You are doing just fine, Ken." So I made that a clue to my exit, I think he has gained enough confidence   to be left alone to do the job ,so I can do some preparations for two masters classes today.
A few days ago I went to Cebu with hubby for his check up. He was due for ct scan actually and I was very happy of the result. The doctor said tho that he still has to see him six months after, for another ct scan. He wants to be sure that there will be no more problems after then.
To celebrate, I went to a shopping spree. This time all items were for me and him. I deserve to be spoiled, after all these years. When I ran out of money, I went home on Thursday evening, leaving hubby behind who had to run errands for Mother in law and his sister. This morning he came home in the first wee hours bringing me (my third) pair of brand new shoes. Gosh, I felt like a child again, opening gifts on Christmas morning.
I miss my old friends here at Multiply. My visits have been rare. I wish I will have much time to read their blogs and hear how they are carrying on with this business they call living.

This is one post i salvaged from multiply which  in no time will be closed:
Ayn came home for the weekend to attend a friend's wedding. After some business at the bank I went to the port area with hubby to meet her, and surprise of all surprises, we found out we were wearing the same outfit: she had the fila shirt I bought for her some years back which was one size smaller  than mine. I had on the same kind of shirt and jeans. And for the lines on my face (which are markedly visible now, and my obviously bulging middle), we looked the mother and daughter that we really are.

She had time to care for her baby while she was here and expressed her plan to come back on the second week of November to bring the baby with her to Cebu. My how I will miss this little bundle of joy which I sleep with in my bed for several nights now. Hubby used to do it, but his doctor advised against it, so now while it is sem break, I take over the task.
Well, she left in a huff this afternoon to get back to work. Brother Ken brought her to the pier and while looking over the bag she used for the wedding the previous day I found in it her anti radiation glasses, which I think she uses for work. Hubby had to go back after her at the pier.
Tomorrow is supposed to be a holiday but I know I will be working to finish the classes schedule for the second semester. Then hopefully I would have time for a shopping in the afternoon while hubby and Ken will have to white wash the graves of our dear departed for All soul's day.
It is 2:00 AM and while sleep still eludes me, I need to work on one more research to edit and rewrite. Good morning everyone.
